I've done a lot of music dealing - how ever indirectly - with mid-life crisis. This is more about what happens on the other side and such thoughts as "now what?" When you've experimented with a bunch of stuff, honed a certain array of skills, built a bunch of instruments to use with these skills (acquiring other skills along the way), created some hacks and mastered them, even thought a couple of original thoughts in your own nerdy little corner, it's easy to stand back and wonder what the fuck it's all for. Then you write another song. Like this one.

Trivia: Although this is the title track of the album, the album is not named after the song, but rather, the other way around. The album title came first in the making, as it were. I realised that the overriding theme also deserved its own song.

Did I learn not to show it

It doesn’t mean that it’s hard
And maybe the answers
Are right in your own backyard
And you could get lucky
And your wishes come true
But in the meantime start digging
While you wait, it’s something to do
